How long do I have to wait for my hair to grow out before I could get waxed?No shaving or tweezing the area to be treated for at least 2-4 weeks in prior to your appointment date. Your best wax results will be on hair of length at least 1/4 of an inch (.75cm).

How long does a wax last for?Waxing results could last for up to 4-6 weeks depending on each individuals body.

Do we wax men?We do no discriminate here but we do require a formal notification at the time of appointment booking to ensure you are fit with the best technician.

Waxing for a special Occasion? When is the best time to book an appointment?We recommend you come for your 48 hours in advance of the special day or vacations just in case you experience an adverse reaction.

What should I do before I come in for a wax?Exfoliate the area to be treated 48 hours prior to assist in maximizing your waxing results. Avoid using creams, lotions, or oils before yout treatment. Avoid excess sun exposure 48 hours prior to waxing session.

Health Conditions that may prevent you from getting a wax?If you have one or more of these contraindications your are not ready to be treated with a waxing session due to the potentioal of increased health problems: Varicose Veins, Moles or Warts, Cuts, Abrasions, Wounds or Open Sores, Acne, Skin Diseases or disorders, Sunburn, rashes or boils Health Conditions: Diabetes, Chemotheraphy/ Radiation Treatments, high blood Pressure, Lupus, Low Pain Theshold, Poor Circulation.

What kind of wax do we use?HARD- Ideal for small and sensitive areas, Leaves less residue for clean up. No wax strip necessary. SOFT (CLASSIC)- Usually used for larger less sensitive areas. Both waxes withstand a heating precess

What session is best for a first time / Once a year Whitening?It is advised that if this is your first teeth whitening booking, book a 60 minute session to get the BEST results.

Why are there different time frames for appointment scheduling timing?You only require one appointment at 60 minutes of therapy broken up into 4 X 15 minute sessions. Due to clients time avaiability and teeth shade we have set up intervals of time slots for you to book shorter time frames. Results are immediate.

Will I notice change the same day I get a whitening treament?You will see 2 - 12 shades crighter teeth. We do not guarantee results as we cannot predict how your teeth are going to respond to the treatment. We will take before and after pictures to amtch shade differences.

Will I feel any pain from the procedure? (sensitive teeth)Whitening treatments will not hurt you or your teeth. Sensitive Teeth: This treatment will not alter your sensitivity. We also use a reminalizer after treatment which coats and protects teeth to prevent sensitivity.

Can a technician at Sugar Island Beauty Bar whiten my teeth without a dentist present?Yes. We use a much lower concentrated gel, that is considered "salon or home based whitening" which is approved by Health Canada.

How often is to often to have my teeth whitened?To keep enamel safe we recommend 2 full treatments within 4 weeks (if no sensitivity occurs after first treatment) thereafter 3-4 months in between.

How long does the application procedure take?Application of the gem takes 20 minutes.

What if the Gem falls off and I swallow it?The Crstals or Gold will not harm your internal parts. It will expel from your system the "natural way".

How long will the gem stay on my teeth?The gem adhered in the appropriate manner on a natural tooth (not porcelain caps) will stay on until you decide to have it removed. The gold setting is made with a slightly curved back to follow the natural shape of a tooth.

What is used to place the Bling on my teeth?Dental Bond which is used to adhere braces on teeth.

Will the Gem harm my teeth?No. The gem or gold is bonded to the surface of the enamel like oethodontic brace. No drilling or damage will be done to the tooth.

How do I remove the Gem?The gem is polished of the teeth in the same manner a brace will be removed therfore it would need to be done by a dental professional.

Will teeth bling interfere with my dental hygiene?The presence of the gem should encourage brushing as it brings more attention to your smile. Area surrounding and beneath the gem is sealed and will not be open to bacteria. You are expected to see your dentist/dental hygenist as you normally would.

Will I feel the gem on my tooth?Initially due to placing something new on your tooth it will feel different, but within a few days after the application you will get use to the new feeling.

What is Tooth Bling?Tooth Bling is the process of placing a small gem with a bond firmly on the tooth's surface. Gems are 22-24k gold or 18k white gold, 0.01ct diamonds, o.02ct Diamonds and genuine Swarovski Crystals 1/4- full surface of tooth- tiny and elegant it will enhance your smile without risk of damage or allergies.
